looking for a sound program need suggestions

I’m looking for a program that can make sound effects
Ex: Mono sound when you fire your weapon

so i was hoping I could get some suggestions on what i should use (preferably free)

if its still around GoldWave was a great free audio editor.

It wont create your sounds, but it will do the rest

GoldWave is still around. Love that program. :slight_smile: Not the prettiest UI but great to use. It’s never exactly been free… it’s Trialware, though the trial never technically expires. But, it’s only $19 for a one year free upgrade license or $59 for lifetime. That’s pretty cheap for as good of software as it is:

goldwave is definitely not for making music.

I would know. I used to make music.

dos this mean you need to record something and then edit it?

Yes. Goldwave is a sound editing application. It has a lot of nice filters and import / export options and even has RAW support.
