Looking for briefly experienced developers to work on a Horror Game - Labyrinth: Hunt the truth or become the legend

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a dedicated team of developers, artists, and storytellers to help bring an ambitious psychological horror game to life in Unity. If you love immersive horror, mind-bending narratives, and games that mess with perception, this project is for you!

About the Game

  • Title (Working): labyrinth: Hunt the truth or become the legend (subject to change)
  • Genre: Psychological Horror / Detective Thriller
  • Engine: Unity
  • Setting: Modern-day crime mystery with reality-warping elements
  • Themes: PTSD, urban legends, perception vs. reality, the power of suggestion
  • Gameplay: Investigation, interactive dialogue, simulation elements, survival horror mechanics

Story Concept

The game follows Adin Conway, a rookie sheriff investigating a series of murders connected to an underground simulation game. The twist? The killings in the game seem to be happening in real life. As Adin digs deeper, his own past trauma resurfaces, and the line between fiction and reality starts to blur. Can he uncover the truth before he loses his mind?

Roles Needed

:white_check_mark: Programmers – Unity developers to help with mechanics like:

  • Player interactions (investigations, dialogue choices)
  • AI behavior for psychological horror elements
  • Simulation mechanics that mirror real-world consequences
  • Reality-shifting effects (e.g., hallucinations, breaking the 4th wall)

:white_check_mark: Story Writers – Writers with experience in psychological horror, detective thrillers, or immersive storytelling. We need help expanding the narrative, side cases, and character depth.

:white_check_mark: 3D Modelers & Environmental Artists – Looking for realistic or semi-realistic asset creators to build:

  • Urban settings (police station, crime scenes, abandoned buildings)
  • Interactive objects for crime scene investigations

:white_check_mark: Logo & UI Designers – We need a unique logo and UI elements to reflect the game’s eerie, glitchy atmosphere.

Why Join?

:rocket: Passion Project – A chance to create a unique horror experience that stands out from typical jumpscare-heavy games.
:black_heart: Psychological Depth – We’re focusing on realistic fear, urban legends, and the horrors of the human mind.
:video_game: Collaborative Team – Work with like-minded developers, contribute ideas, and see your work come to life.
:light_bulb: Portfolio & Experience – Great for growing your portfolio or gaining real-world game dev experience.

Hey there!

My name is Justin, I am a Unity Programmer and gamer with a love of games and a dream to make them for others. I have around 5-6 years of Unity experience. I started fresh in high school (I am now a junior in college, Computer Science major). Red Lobster Studios was an alias me and my friend went by for the games we were making previously, he was my artist while I programmed in Unity. However recently we had to go our separate ways. However we were set on making a horror game together (fnaf-esque) and had planned on going down the horror path for all games in succession. With this being said I would love to work on this game as a Unity Developer/Programmer as it sounds very enticing, attention grabbing, and seems like it could be a hit. I would love to be a part of that. Let’s get freaky :man_technologist:
