I have been looking all over the web, and cannot find proper pixel art guides/tutorials oriented towards environments. I see a lot of “how to’s” on characters or tiles, but I would like to focus on isometric environments.
Can anyone help me out?
My level is just above beginner, and given enough time, I was able to do this with the help of a guide:
(I’d love to hear how can I improve this image)
Would prefer video tutorials, but a written website, if good, can help.
I wasn’t looking for any interiors etc. But I hope that some tutorials about perspective and other stuff might be helpful. And I forgot about another source of tutorials: deviantart.com
Very helpful indeed, unfortunately I didn’t express my need properly: what I am looking for are tutorials on proper isometric perspective use of pixel art.
In other words: how do I take a real image or object, scale it down to pixel form, and finally mentally rotate it and skew it into an isometric way.
It’s more of the mindset of the analysis of the objects than the actual technique of doing it.
With images: how do I effectively go from 1, to 2, to 3:
