Do you guys recommend any packs out there? By low poly i mean less than 800 polys, hands + weapon.

You can do this yourself by optimizing high-poly weapons, using Topogun (an easy learning curve). There’re some awesome tutorials available at DigitalTutors.

You can’t reduce the topology of a 5000-poly model to 500 polys without losing quality. Low-poly models should be modeled from zero, with the limitations in mind, including texture work.
