Hi everyone,
I’ve been working solo on Great Gate Island, a story-driven adventure set on a mysterious island, blending territory expansion, resource management, and survival combat. The game revolves around using Sun Expansion Relays to push back the Eternal Night, unlocking new areas while defending against shadowy threats.
I’m currently looking for playtesters to try out the latest build and share feedback. If you’re interested, you can join the Lightbringers Playtest Group on Discord, where the build is available: Join the Lightbringers Playtest Group on Discord
Sun Expansion Relays
This video explains one of the game’s core mechanics: expanding the Sun’s influence to secure new territory.

If you’d like to try the game and provide feedback, feel free to join the Lightbringers Playtest Group on Discord, where you’ll find the latest build.

Hi everyone,
I finally made the cinematic introduction
for Great Gate Island and made a new build with new features!
I am looking for new PLAYTESTERS!

I received valuable feedback about adding more information regarding the game’s lore and narrative. Since I hadn’t yet created a proper story introduction, I took the time to develop one, and I hope this cinematic provides more context, a stronger sense of mystery, and introduces some of the key figures in the game.
In addition, I’ve also modified the beginning of the game to ensure that players have a clearer understanding of their purpose in the world while still maintaining the sense of discovery and intrigue.
Would love to hear what you think! Any feedback is always appreciated.
Hi,
This project looks really interesting. I love survival combat and resource management games. I’m a game design student at Lindenwood University, and for my final project this semester I need to document a professional testing experience with a game that’s still in development. That includes structured testing, bug reports, and organized feedback based on the developer’s goals.
I’d love to join your playtest group and provide detailed feedback on gameplay, mechanics, usability, and any issues I find. My goal is to give feedback that’s useful to you while also meeting the requirements for my course.
Please let me know if there are specific testing guidelines or formats you’d like me to follow.
Thank You.
