looking for your opinion on two styles?

Im making a top down RPG/puzzle game and I’m having trouble picking which i like better. keep in mind this is a rough outline.


Everything is is in the same place in both pics.

The left one has a perspective camera with flat walls.

the right has a orthographic camera and the walls have a tilt to give a zelda look.

the goal was to go with the right but Im not sure it would look good after adding objects along the walls beause of the tilt in the wall. I would have to model all objects with the same tilt.

I’m not sure this is anything other than subjective, in which case the feedback you’ll get here won’t be of much use…in any case, I personally dislike orthographic cameras. The left for me.

Try both if unsure. The left one makes it possible to see more though. Nice for interactive stuff on walls.

The real question is what problem are you trying to solve, if you identify the problem, the answer will be there.
