Losing Textures when moving project folder


This is driving me crazy - hopefully someone has an answer. I’ve been building a project in Unity, and periodically backing it up, by copying the whole project folder and saving elsewhere.

I’m sure in the past when I have reloaded from one of the backup folders, everything worked fine. However, now when I try to reload from an old project folder, all my textured objects have lost their textures (they are still in the project assets, but no longer actually applied to my models). I just can’t understand why this is happening - does anyone have any thoughts?


Hmm, that is what I did - copied and moved the whole project folder. I never touched the files within the assets folder…
