LOST ORBIT - A fast paced and deadly Dodge 'em Up

LOST ORBIT
Stranded after his ship is destroyed in deep space, Harrison, a lowly maintenance worker and our hero, must struggle to find his way home…

LOST ORBIT centers around the exploration of space. Players take control of a lone astronaut (Harrison) who sets off on a dangerous journey to rejoin his civilization, armed with only an improvised set of equipment and a relentless spirit. Without the help of his ship, Harrison will need to use the gravitational forces of planets to navigate and propel himself through space.

Set in a world rich with comedy and tragedy, LOST ORBIT is a game filled with risk, loneliness, wonder, and death.

Features:

  • Explore 40 levels set across 4 unique solar systems on your perilous journey home.
  • Each level features a detailed ranking system and time trial mode.
  • Choose and upgrade your set of abilities to customize Harrison as you see fit through a light RPG system.
  • Boost, swim, bounce, leap and teleport your way through a myriad of obstacles.
  • Simple and intuitive controls make the game easy to pick up, yet surprisingly deep.
  • Balanced between tense technical moments and cathartic graceful flight, LOST ORBIT is a game that is instantly immersive and satisfying to play.
  • Die alone in space; where no one will know of your struggle.

very pretty

Thank you!

Great use of colour and lighting - looks fun!

Love your concept and execution. Great graphics lighting and fx!
Is this 2.5 or straight 2D?

Phew! for a second I was speechless. I’m working on a space man theme that - from the Lost Orbit splash image at the top - looks VERY similar to this. But after seeing your game play it’s not.

Placed on my want list. When is your release date?

Awesome work.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot!!
All the art is 3D asides from the skybox stars.

Glad you like it and im happy its not like your work  Do you have any previews of your theme?

We’ll be shipping soon on PS4 and Steam, no exact release date yet.

I’m happy we have different concepts also.
Preview is in the works it’s still in a early prototype WIP stage.

Would love to read a post mortem from you about developing for PS4 and the business side of things with them after you release. Maybe you could publish it here as a Unity featured article or on Gamasutra. I bet more than one person would be very interested in that. May want to check into it when development is complete.
That’d be real cool.

Much success to you! Awesome visual style and execution.

Just wow! Looks hella fun! Just a quick question, how do you test you game on ps4, do you just test it in the editor with a ps4 controller or is there a way of building your game and somehow get it on the ps4 for testing?
