You probably need to deactivate your Real Time Scanning on your virus scanner. Or exclude the folder of your project from real time scanning if you can. This is bug Unity is aware of but doesn’t seem to care to fix.

i turned the antivirus off completly and it didnt fix the problem.

Strange. That should have fixed it. How about running as Administrator?

Just occurred to me that you need to compile a script after you turn off real-time scanning. Just open any script and make a very minor change to it like putting an extra return somewhere, save and return to Unity. If you haven’t done that, give it a try.
