I finally got around to publish a game with my Unity license. I’m pretty proud of what we achieved in such a short amount of time.
The theme of the Game Jam was Ouroboros, which represents the neverending circle of life, our game does the same. There is no ending, it’s just the life and death of civilizations over and over again.
As you can see I had a kick-ass team with 2 great modellers and a great programmer, I did the Shuriken effects and the News dialogues. It was the first time that I checked out Shuriken and I really like it, kudos to the Unity team for another great feature.
If you have the Unity 3.5 beta installed, you can also play the web version. Sadly the Unity 3.5 player is still not available as a standalone download, so if you don’t have the complete Unity beta installed, it won’t work.
Thank you!
I was in munich. It was my first Global Game Jam, because the date usually covered my birthday, but this year it was a few days earlier. Do you have a link to your game?
I don’t know anything about finals, everyone voted at the end and we didn’t vote for ourselves. We were also a little bit older than the average at our location, so it’s ok that other projects had more votes, we still came in 4th I think, all I remember is that 8 people from other teams thought our games was the best.
Hmmm, I got there late so I missed the keynote. Our judges were a few ceo’s of local companies and some higher up employees. I heard from some of the jammers there something about the finalist of the local game jam is sent to be judged globally.
I can’t download 3.5 webplayer atm, unfortunately. Can’t wait to check out such a high ranking game
