Hi I bought a new Macbook Air with that fancy M1 chip.
I thought the chip should be powerful enough for unity, but it turns out that the frame rate in the editor is low (10+ FPS)
Unity works better on my old 2018 macbook pro though.
is it normal or if I can turn any setting to make it smooth?
You didn’t mention the version of Unity you’re using, but this has been a problem on macOS ever since version 2020.3.19f1. Downgrade to 2020.3.18f1 until they fix it. (I saw in another thread here that this fix is expected to land next week - assuming it’s what is causing your issue.)
You are right! 3.18f works perfectly. Hope they will do an update for Apple OS and chip.
