Low Framerate until I check and uncheck the Virtual Reality Supported checkbox.

Using Unity 5.2.1f1, and Oculus NOT connected.

When I start a new project, the framerate is capped at around 100 fps until I check and uncheck the Virtual Reality Supported checkbox in the project/player settings, after which it skyrockets into the thousands (which is expected since there’s nothing in the scene yet).

Also, once I attach the Oculus, the frame rate seems to be capped at 120 fps. When I detach it, it skyrockets again. Is there something built into the software to cap the fps when the Oculus is attached?

Thanks.

Yes, the frame rate should be capped at 75fps. If you drop to too low fps or if the fps is too high, it causes discomfort for the user.
