Low Poly FBX Luncheonette Building Facade Model Available at 3D Model World

The low Poly 3D luncheonette building model is available in FBX, OBJ / 3DS formats. This is a façade not a complete building. Contains 5,051 polygons / 9,716 triangles. Includes well detailed textures.

Can you show wires?

You mean wireframe view? I added a lines and textures shot to the original post.

I see you have a lot of wasted polys there. You could easily make that whole thing in less than 1k tris.

Everyone has their own way of making things. I probably could have used a poly reduction deformer, but then would have to re-UVmap it and retexture it.

My polygon/triangle budget plugin reports 5,051 polys / 9,716 triangles…

Don’t mind me saying, but that’s a lot of polygon for something that looks very very low polygon.

Just a rough estimate of what it should be :

10+10+10+10+10+8+6 = 64 triangles.

You are subdividing unnecessarily.
The whole building is essentially made up of cubes - 5 sided cubes that is (the side that’s facing ground or attach to another surface can be deleted - hence “5 sided” (and only 10 triangles).

Try something similar to this(quick, may need some edits)

I build models that can be re-purposed, the way I built it I can lengthen the model (depth, add floors) and have a building interior version. I call it smart modeling. I model my way, you model your way.

As i said earlier I could poly reduce it, however I make models for several of my 3D download websites and I create models such as buildings that I can re-purpose, such as adding interior details.

Don’t need to subdivide around the window frame - just let repeated UV to take care of it.

I subdivided around the windows because I filled the holes with polygons for the window textures. I intend to re-purpose the model to have an interior, so I actually cut the window holes out for later use. I think I mentioned re-purposing the model for later use in an earlier post.

The original post was to announce the availability of the model, not to solicit critiques of the model. Just checked the original post, not one request for a critique of the new model…

Thanks.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with modeling your way too.
Just saying you could optimize it a litte better - I can also re-purpose and adding interior details, and its actually EASIER to go from low poly to high poly than high poly to low poly.

My bad, I will say no more!

Oh and thanks for sharing

No problem at all.
