Lunar Flight Multiplayer Released - Uses TNet - Available on Steam!

After 4 months of work I’ve finally released the Multiplayer update for Lunar Flight. I utilised the excellent Networking Framework ‘TNet’ by ‘NGUI’ creator ArenMook which made the whole process significantly easier. I highly recommend taking a look at this package if you are considering adding Networking to your game.

Along with the multiplayer I’ve also added a bunch of polish and other enhancements to the game.

Lunar Flight is available on Steam currently on sale %50 off.

Features:

  • Weapons Systems with Countermeasures
  • 2 Multiplayer Modes (Mission Score Deathmatch)
  • Upto 16 Players
  • A New Multiplayer Leaderboard
  • Integrated Server Browser
  • New Difficulty Options
  • New Skill Based Scoring System
  • 10 New Multiplayer Specific Achievements
  • Performance Improvements Upto (25%) Faster Rendering
  • Improved UI
  • Improved Special FX
  • Miscellaneous Polish Bug Fixes

Excellent stuff Sean - we’ve been having a blast playing this over the last week.

Couldn’t agree more on TNet also. I have just finished porting all our network code over from uLink to TNet. Don’t get me wrong, uLink is very good and their support is excellent (I’ve had emails from their CEO in the middle of the night answering questions!) but TNet just seems like such a well thought out and easy-to-use framework. I’ve made huge strides on the network side of things since making the switch.

Keep up the good work!
