Lune

Update : You can now play our prototype : www.lunegame.com

Lune is an adventure game about reflection and solitude where you can control the moon, which implies influencing tides, reflecting light in various ways and modifying gravity. You overcome obstacles that are blocking your way in an abandoned tower on an island in the middle of an ocean.

We are a french team of 6 young game developers, currently working for a small french competition.

We are working really hard on the atmosphere of the game, with both our graphic artist and our sound designer being really talented people.

Here is our character:

A couple concept art:

And even a soundtrack.

For more of those, I’ll update this post with new content, or you can follow us on twitter @lunegame or Facebook.
We also publish on a devblog, but in french only for now…

very nice and original! cant wait to see gameplay

pretty sweet music!

Interesting. Original. Definitely keeping my eye on this.

Great art style. Kind of looks like journey. And really interesting concept. Hope to see more on this project.

Thank you!

I’ll try to post a “gameplay” video soon, we have a working 1minute prototype. However, it’s more of an intro sequence than real gameplay but it help us work the atmosphere.

The game will be windows/macOS/Linux, but may start as a web browser prototype.

Lune is a point-and-click.

We are currently putting together a website here : www.lunegame.com and worked all day on the gameplay video we are going to release really soon (something about our 100th follower and all…).

In the meantime here are a couple of thing you may have missed if you don’t read French:

This is something we have been working on to emulate water behavior:

A few concept arts:

And an hi-res of the first one I posted here (click on it):

Hope you like it !

The music toward the end reminded me of Legend Of Zelda, Keep it up looks great

We have a Moon-handling gameplay demo !

Use A and D to rotate the moon, Q to get it further, S to get it nearer.

Also, a screenshot of some assets we have been working on :

Hi guys!

We are still working on Lune! Here are a couple screenshot showing the current advancement of two of the first “levels” (more like two parts of a same bigger level, actually).

We recently added godrays, character animation and the building wall. This is the same building displayed in my previous message, except now it have a wall wich fade when you enter the building, letting you with this :

Tell us what you think, either here or on our facebook or twitter accounts.

Looks great so far. Its really good to see such focus on the look and atmosphere of a game, rather than a game for ‘making a game sake’

The quality of the 3d content looks great, slick techniques been used from what I can see so far. Loving the artistic style of the game, and composition of each scene.

Great work guys! Looking forward to seeing the final work.

Thank you for your encouragement! We appreciate it.

Here is our Guardian :

Really love what you guys have created so far. The gameplay footage looks very promising and the audio and art style is great. For a little bit there the water was really confusing me lol but in a good way. Can’t wait to see more footage.

Incredibly original idea, everything looks awesome so far. Can’t wait to see more, and I’m definitely subscribing to this.

Thank you guys! We are planning on releasing an alpha/prototype build in around 10 days with a bug report form and a feature suggest form. It should be between 20 and 30 minutes long. Feel free to check on Facebook for more content, some dev blog articles and maybe some early access later this week ;).
