LWRP has higher Requirements?

I’ trying to export a project to my fairly old Huawei P8 lite.

  • I get a black screen when I export it with Color Space set to Gamma.
  • Changing it to Linear, Unity asks me to remove GLES2 support.
  • When I try to build with these settings, Unity tells me, that my device has no GLES3 support…

Am I wrong or does the Light Weight Render Pipeline actually have higher requirements than the regular rendering?

I’m getting the same error.
Please help…

I guess Unity is busy completing the whole system and doesn’t care about older phones not being supported, because they think that at some point the outdated phones will go extinct. And until then we can use the old rendering system. Unfortunately from my day job I know that this will take a few years.
