Well, yes. Just like the title says I am seeing -extremely- slow performance in my game. Mac version runs really good, although it is quite demanding. Has been seen running fine on slower computers (Mac) though. As soon as it gets to Windows the same build (on the same computers) is choppy at best, running at around 2-3 fps.
Thanks for the input. However, I am only using standard shaders (except the 3D text shader found on the forum or wiki) and that does not seem to be the problem, since earlier scenes work fine. The performance drop comes during the main gameplay scene. I tried reducing draw calls, and got from around 1000 at start to 750. The number drops a lot after around 5 seconds. That did, as expected, not solve anything. Interactive cloth was not the issue either, and is not even instanced at startup, so it shouldn’t have been an issue in any case.
Curious case. It’s a shame PC gamers can’t play the game right now, and I’m at a loss here.
Of course, Dreamora, if shader code is the issue, I would guess other people would see similar problems with their PC builds. Drivers could, but I suspect not, be a problem but they are recent ATI drivers for my 4870, Mac-native gfx card.
