Mac Os Big Sur Icons

Suddenly I thought the Unity icons don’t look like they belong in the Big Sur dock and decided to do something about it

And leaving this here from 9to5mac
How to change Mac app icons

  • Open Finder and navigate to Applications
  • Click the app you’d like to change the icon for and hit command + I (or right-click and choose Get Info)
  • Have an image for the new icon you’d like to use, jpg often works best
  • Copy the new image you’d like to use (command + C)
  • Click the small thumbnail of the current app icon in the Info window
  • Use the keyboard shortcut command + V to paste in the new icon
  • Close and reopen the app to have the changes take effect

If the image looks broken, maybe you could try this:
Open the icon file on the Preview app, then Edit > Select All, then Edit > Copy. Then you should be able to paste it normally.

Hope you like it!

Thanks that looks sweet!

I do think the drop shadow around the logo in the white version makes it a bit blurry.
I would prefer no drop shadow there

Alright, here you go

Thanks!

Hard to believe almost a year later Unity’s own icons are still ugly squares
