Mac purchase advice

Hi,

I can buy a second hand Macbook Pro here in a local apple store. These are some of the specs:

Mac Book Pro 15"
2,33 Ghz
120 Gig HD
2 Gig Ram
ATI Radeon X1600 (256mb)

It comes with CS suite 2.

They ask € 1.400 including 16%VAT. Are the specs good enough for unity3D and what do you think about the price considered then I am in Europe (Spain)?

Por ese precio, yo preferiría un Intel Imac de 20. No tendrás el CS2, pero para Unity te vendrá mucho mejor que el Macbook.

Hola Gustavo, encantado tambien! Vivo en espana per soy Holendes! Por eso vamos a contiunar en Ingles porque mi espanol ya esta bastante malo!

Ideally I would like to have a desktop mac but to start of with I am looking for a cheap yet powerful enough macbook so I can use it both at work and at home.

Thanks for that link, I quickly searched myself but couldn’t find anythink myself except from the official apple site in spain.

@Gustavo, do you live in the city Valencia? My parents live in Javea.

Anyone has any experience with that laptop, or can tell me what I can expect based on the specs?

More than good enough for Unity. My 20" Intel Core Duo iMac has lesser specs and runs Unity fine.

Thanks DaveyJJ, that is good to know!

I just wasn’t to sure about the graphics card, although it does support directx shader 3.0 it is not exactly high in their list of notebook graphics cards.
