Mac Recommendations

Hi guys, I am looking to buy a new mac sometime soon and am after some advice…

I am a long time mac user and currently have a first gen 17" MacBook Pro (2.14gz Core Duo, 2Gb RAM) but am fed up of hauling it around with me so I want something more portable. I have been looking at the 13.3" Unibody MacBooks and was wondering if anyone out there has experience developing on one? Are the NVIDIA onboard graphics up to much? I have read that stuff like PhotoShop is fine on them but was wondering how Unity / Cheetah / Maya would run on one?

The model im looking at is the 2.4ghz with 4gb RAM. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I use one of those for my daily development, and I find the GPU to be just fine.

However, the display stinks. It’s ok if you’re one person and writing code, but if you want to show something to someone and/or have decent color fidelity forget it. (What I’ve done is to have an external monitor/keyboard at both work and home)

I just realized this post is in the wrong forum… apologies for that! Meant to put it in Gossip.

Thanks for the pointers, what is so bad about the display? Having looked at them in the store I have not noticed much of a difference, but I guess thats the difference between a quick look and working with one.
