Mac Standalone not detecting controller

Hello,

I set up a PS3 controller on my Mac and it’s conntected via Bluetooth. I mapped all the keys in the input manager in Unity. When I build a standalone build and run it, Unity (game build) does not detect the controller at all (but it works in the Editor with I hit “Play”).

How do I get a Unity Standalone build to detect a controller?

Thanks,

Test using pc standard controller and try it.

This makes me very sad…

I seem to be having the same issue with an Xbox360 controller using Tattiebogle’s drivers. I’m going to submit a bug report.

I have the same issue, joypad works in editor and not detected in standalone, on the mac. This is with a standard pc joypad by Powerwave.

I am having the same problem. Xbox 360 controller is configured to work in Unity Editor in Mac OS X. But when I build an app, the player settings will not recognize my controller at all.

If you are running into this Unity Issue Tracker - Joystick (Xbox360) input does not work on OSX 64bit build issue then try using the 32bit build for OSX.

The fix will be available in a future version of Unity. Can’t say which one though atm.

Thank you for acknowledging this at least!

Hope it gets fixed soon

We are having the same problem with Mac and PS3 controller. This happens in Unity 4.5 and 4.6b when building a 32bit and 64bit binaries.
