MacBook Pro 2016, what do you think ?

I was wondering if anybody had already a chance to put/run Unity on the latest high end MacBook Pro’s ?
I’m considering it, since eGPU’s are for sure be supported in the future (rumors say from Razor Core)

What you think ?

Have one on order but hasn’t arrived yet. The 15" MBP has a GPU. I have been using Unity for a while on comparable spec Dell XPS though and it runs very well.

I would stay away from the Mac for game development as much as possible unless you are targeting iOS/Mac/tvOS.

Any particular reason?

I’ve developed with Unity on both Win and Mac for ages, and I have no real preference for either over the other except that on Windows you get Visual Studio pain-free.

I think not.

Hmm, I don’t think this is a good idea unless you are developing for apple platforms!

Same here, although I mostly develop for mobile (Android / iOS). Although if iOS isn’t involved I typically just use Windows.

Has anyone tried: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/visualstudio/2016/11/16/visual-studio-for-mac/
VS for Mac?

I would be hesitant to buy something based on the rumour that eGPU’s are for sure to be supported. You don’t know when they will be supported, how much they are going to cost or even what video cards will be supported.
