i have a game and the verts are 600k-800k but the main tread is 300 ms at least while the renderer is at 15. i have 500 npc’s responsible to about 500k verts and they all have an animator controller. i fear that the animator controler is the issue. what can i do to improve it without lowering the number of NPCs?
You may be right about the animator controller s (500 skinned meshes in a scene is a lot!), but without profiling, there’s no way to tell - you’d just be shooting in the dark.
