The only thing I’ve personally found exciting about Unity in the last 2-3(?) years (if I still had the ability to get excited by anything related to Unity) was this: GraphicsStateCollection Tracing and Warmup in Unity 6
Which isn’t much, with Unity otherwise being a sea of disappointments, but it’s also not nothing.
So it would be nice if we had more stuff like that, as opposed to pointless changes to handsomely paid figureheads and silly declarations about intending to maybe do better (if we even get any Unity managers to actually admit there are things that are going wrongly), that may or may not (and probably will not) pay off in the next 5 years.
