make a lightweight texture for unity, what software should be used?

hi, i want to make a very light game on android …
of course i need a very light texture too ,

I am interested in how to make a good texture without using zbrush or mudbox ,?

I found a free asset in the Unity assetstore, I want to make a texture like that in my model ,
does the texture use photoshop ,
I think it uses vector or something,

most people suggest zbrush, substance painter or affinity designer / photo to make the texture, but I want to keep using photoshop ,

can photoshop make textures like that ??
how can photoshop make a nice and light texture like that?

thank you

Hi @arifoxs3

Your question reveals you haven’t done much groundwork. You should learn the basics of 3d model texturing and digital painting (and traditional art principles). Just start googling and go through basics tutorials, when you get hang of it, proceed to learn more and practice a lot.

You can do hand painted textures in any decent 2D software like Photoshop alone. But to make it easier to place details and remove iterations needed 3d painting software is better for some steps. And Substance Painter might not be the best choice of software if you are not modeling surface materials for systems aiming for realism, like current gen physically based rendering pipelines.
