Make Skin More Realistic

Hi, this is my first post so if i am in the wrong section please escuse me.

I have successfully imported an FBX model and all the textures asssociated.
But i have trouble settings up the material / shader.
I have several textures files:
-A diffuse Map ( assigned to the albedo Channel)
-A Normal Map ( assigned to the Normal Channel)

  • An Occlusion Map (assigned to the Occlusion Channel)
  • A Specular Map (Assigned to the Specluar Chanel)
  • A Subsurface Map (SSS) (Not Assigned !)

So i guess my question is how to set up the material to make my skin more realistic (a little more wet/shiny/glossy), The model looks much better in other engines.

Any Packages / Tutorials on how to do this would be much appreciated.

I use a material with the Standart:Specular Setup Shader.

This is how my model looks:

I really like Unity for its great documentation and community but i have a really hard time concerning pretty much anything related to Graphics/Renderings.

If you want it to be more glossy, you can up the smoothness. Apart from that, for realism you would need to use a custom shader (either from the asset store or internet). There are many SSS shaders out there that would do, although they won’t use the standard lighting model if you needed it for something.

If you don’t want to pay for one of the great skin shaders on the store, like the Pre-integrated Skin Shader, then you can grab the free one that Unity offers in these demo asset files
