I want to make a game with an cool ocean. However, I do not know how to approach this. I think the way is to use procedural mesh or preanimated object in a 3ed software like blender. If it were you, how would you approach this?
I think you are in need of a surface shader, take a look at this Rebuild normals in vertex shader (Unity) - YouTube
There is also a lot of water shaders posted on the forums, just do a simple google search and I bet you will find a good shader for your purposes
