Now I don’t have Unity pro or the Ios licence, but I’m saving to get both. As for now, is it even possible to make an ios game or is it nessessary to have the licenece? For example, would certain lines of code just not work?
You can’t publish your project to Xcode without a licence. But I think you can simulate it using unity remote, or whatever it’s called.
You can make the game without the licence, but you won’t be able to test it on an iOS device. Performance is very different, so you will need to at some stage. Although you can get away with it for a long time if you need to, but it will make extra work once you do.
To test on a device and to submit to the App Store requires the iOS licence which is $400. You only need Unity Pro if you want iOS Pro.
But what If I have an Apple IOS developer licence? Do I still need the unity ios licence?
Yes.
