Hello, I am not sure how to go about making a pause menu. If anyone can offer me some pointers on this I would greatly appreciate it. For the record, I am using JavaScript so if you offer any code, please use JavaScript.

UnifyCommunity has a sample Pause Menu Script. There are also a bunch of informative answers in a question asking, 'How do I pause my game?'. I found both links by searching UnityAnswers - you'll find a lot of questions have already been answered!
