Currently I am having a hard time to get into Unity. I’ve been scripting for years with DB and Blitz3D where manipulating Meshes was quite easy and straightforward.
However, with Unity I found that most information (especially when it comes to scripting) is very cluttered. Some pieces here, some pieces there, but I couldn’t find a place yet where I can get a comprehensive and complete from-soup-to-nuts guide on how to script with meshes, materials etc. (adding mehses, manipulating vertices, looping through materials / children, creating meshes / vertices by script only, working with renderers etc…)
The docs are written very well, but they are quite basic and not into-depth. Also, there is a lack of sample codes, too.
Are there any good and complete articles on this topic? At the moment, I feel like like picking up small crumbs and fiddling a puzzle together by myself ![]()
Where do you guys find all that information :?:
