From the wiki, same issue occurring:
Can you please take a look if snow plains biome is working (it’s Snow Plains scene and graph)?
It’s a heat map, one of the ways to represent same 1-channel data. With colors small changes and gradients are more noticeable.
This is actually an echo of the same issue above… so basically in Unity 6+ HDRP at least the 3rd+ biome layer renders as a charcoal black color. Both in the demo biome scene as well as a manually created one. I fully understand MM2 in Unity 6 is beta and as a matter of fact I took this screenshot in Unity 6.1 beta version. Wondering if you have any ideas on what to check to see if this can be corrected as I have made the decision to base my build on 6.1 due to the open world gpu rendering performance enhancements and multiplayer libraries Unity is releasing to that version and up. So it’s a pretty major version for us Large world and terrain folks.
The console doesn’t throw any errors and 1 & 2 layer works ok… that said there is an interesting blend when you combine the dunes biome with the snow biome in layers as an overlap in that the concave portion of the dunes renders this charcoal color in that case too. Oh if it helps if the 3rd layer is the same as an earlier layer it still renders as charcoal… ie the base layer is snow, then badland then back to snow the last snow is charcoal along with any more layers after that.
Okay, so in both cases it’s related with HDRP. Might it be some number of textures per terrain limitation? At first glance I can’t reproduce it, but will try some thoughts.
