Material displaying unexpectedly on large imported mesh

I have a an object imported from sketchup. I have a material with an image in the Albedo property. On smaller areas, the material displays the image properly. On large areas, it display as a flat color - apparently its extremely blurred and only looks like a flat color. It seems the tiling is either to small or too large, but changing the tiling in the material only changes the shade of the flat color.

If I create a native plane in unity that is large than the imported plane, I’m able to apply the material successfully. The image is shone as expected. Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong?
