maya animation import weirdness?

So I previously imported some maya animations before. But this time somehow it is wrong. I have the animation showing up correctly in maya. However, in unity the figure’s root node only rotates as if it has some of the other nodes data. What can be the problem? I tried to import the mesh animation only without the nodes and still no luck.

After using maya for so long it can get annoying. Unity only supports specific animation. Mesh animation isn’t supported.

I think it’s just bones and IK. Although I still get problems.
Right now I’m trying to get an animation to work that was animated on a curve.

Oh and don’t forget to bake the animations too.
