I’ve searched a few threads, but haven’t found an answer.
It appears that blendshapes exported from Maya do not work if the geom is also bound to bones. I have a scene with facial blendshapes that work if I remove the bind to bones. If the skin is in place there is no shape anim.
Does anyone know if there is a solution for this, or should I use the megafiers plugin?
To anyone else struggling with this. Unity tech support answered my question…
Hi Brad - I’ve been advised that there is an incompatibility with FBX 2012/13/14 exporters regarding BlendSshapes. The developers are working on this in conjunction with Autodesk, for now please use the 2011 option (you can check this in the FBX export dialogue Advanced > File Format > Version > 2011)
