Maya Full Body IK questions

I just learned about this “full body IK” feature and wanted to do my characters this way, and I had 2 questions:

  1. I assume after baking the IK it works in unity?

  2. Does full body IK work with nontraditional bone structures (dog legs and stuff with 3 or 4 bones in legs and arms instead of 2)?

I believe there are two full body IK solvers included with 8.5, Biped and four-legged.

I’ve used the biped with Unity and it worked very well. Never tried to make a spider or somesuch with fullIK however…

thanks, maybe I’ll try it with a normal human first then some alien or something later.
