I have created a simple model in Maya 7, taking care at the direction of the normals but my model seems to have some issue when imported to Unity 1.1.1.
As you can see the internal part isn’t displayed correctly…
Any help?
We use Maya internallly. Try Quadrupulating or Triangulating the Mesh - unit is not good with concave polygons…
Also, I have noticed that backfaces do not show up in Unity, so if you have a plane for example, the back will be invisible…
That is on purpose. 90% of the meshes you have are closed, in which case the backfaces are never visible. The solution for the last 10% is to simply duplicate the front faces flip the normals.
