hey all, im new to the community(great one btw) and i’m trying to make a small city in Maya and get the lightmap.
i was reading this tutorial http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=7890&highlight=lightmap
but i cant get all objects in a single UV Map not overlapping (images are missing). I need to combine all objects before doing an Automapping which i dont really want to do.
And after i bake it where does this texture goes and how do i load all in unity?
i don’t have maya so i can’t help you there (make sure your second UV set is set up though ; ) but once your lightmap is set up just use a lightmapped shader on whatever objects that need it and put the lightmap texture into the second slot.
