Maya to FBX

I was just running some tests and made a simple cube in Maya. Once I used the .mb on Unity it worked well on the PC that had Maya2010 installed as the article about Maya>Unity said.

The problem is that when I try to export it to FBX so that I can use it in another PC it’s just empty… nothing, like a empty GameObject. Tried tweaking some export options in Maya and even downloading the latest fbx pluggin but no luck.

Maybe I’m missing something simple?

If I understood you correctly, the problem is:

  1. export .mb file to .fbx manually (in Maya)
  2. import .fbx file in Unity
  3. the imported fbx is empty?

Does Unity give you any error? If you import .fbx file back into Maya do you see your mesh?

You uses the same FBX-version on both PCs?
