Mecanim advisable for Android ??

Please advise me as i am facing a bad fps drop.

When i use Animation type as Humonoid, My FPS is 140

But when i use Animation type as Generic, it is 250

I have a query, can i use layers and mask with Animation type as Generic ?

As I understand it, there are two types of mask: avatar body masks and transform masks. You can use the latter with generic animations but not the former.

You can use layers with generic animations, yes.
