Mecanim and asset bundles

Does Mecanim work with asset bundles? We had built a character customization system similar to the old example here: Character Customization | Utilities Tools | Unity Asset Store.

Now that we started using Mecanim when the character is created he just sits there at the T-Pose…

Apparently this will be fixed in a new release.
