Mecanim animation not played

I have copied all objects from unity Mecanim demo to my project, and yet - when i set a controller to the character mesh - the character been positioned in 0.0.0 in the scene and no animation have played.

  • What could be the issue ?

It could be alot of things, maybe your avatar is not correctly setup, maybe it is referencing another set of bones (happened to me once). Maybe your transitions are not conected corretly or have parameter that are never met. I suggest selecting your model while in game or play mode and looking at the animator window (where you have your animation tree), there you can see the real time feed of the transitions, it might help.
