Mecanim Library - Where Is It?

According to Unity’s Mecanim page, there is “a vast library of existing motions or prebuilt controllers” related to Mecanim. Other than the one “starter” package on the asset store, which seems rather incomplete in its list of motions, I can’t seem to find any Mecanim-specific animations.

Are there more packages of animations designed to work smoothly with Mecanim somewhere that I am missing? Or is it that the “vast library” just means the FBX style animations you may already own for your models?

Unity has been touting this as a big feature and I’ve been expecting to stumble on something like the Mixamo size collection of animations for Mecanim, but it doesn’t seem to exist. (And Mixamo has notates that it’s specifically not compatible with Mecanim.) So, I’m kinda confused at this point.

You can use any BVH file simply by loading it into Blender and exporting it as an FBX. And there are tons of BVH files out there.

Also, the 150 animations that Unity is giving away for free in their starter pack is nothing to scoff at either.
