Mechanim animation issues

I exported my animations as separate .fbx files from 3ds Max. While the animations look the same as 3ds Max in “Generic”, I get a lot of issues when I switch them to “Humanoid” such as wrong axis and leg popping.

I have tweaked with all of the controls to no avail. I sthere something I’m missing?

Did you configured your avatar correctly? Check the bones, and put it in T-pose.
