Mechanim Won't Move my Avatar Forward

Hi, all!

So I’ve been using Unity and Mechanim in tandem with Blender 3D for a while now. I have never been able to get my rigs to move forward when using mechanim and it is super irritating. The state will fire, the character will run through the animation and move forward, but when it resumes the idle state, it just slides back to its original position.

I haven’t used Blender for animation, but I know this can happen if you don’t turn on “Apply Root Motion” on the animator component and you have baked the XZ position into the animation.
