Here are some work in progress shot for MECHers, the Mech Robots checkers game that I have been using as my “learn to develop in Unity” project.



Thumbs up for a unique twist to a classic game. It would be neat if when you jumped a player, instead of the robots duking it out automatically, it takes you to a like battlefield and you control them sorta like rock’em sock’em robots. Totally not necesary, but that could be a different game mode or something! I like it a lot!
Thanks! Yeah I’m developing quite a list of non-Checkers ideas which I hope to put to use one day, firepower, damage, long range shots.
Why not doing it like Chess? I mean, differents Robots each one with a special power or damage or something like that, and instead of just jumping, attacking. This game looks great. Nice work. ![]()
