The Hedgehog out of its hole, to present you our new level package, the Medieval Level Kit.
As always, the principle is the same as the Toon Level Kit or Scifi Level Kit. but for medieval envs
More than 130 prefabs, optimized for tablet devices or pc. You can enter and equip houses with many accessories! The map of course is provided with the pack.
And just for fun, we have try to compile the pack without optimization, and with full resolution textures, foliage shader, and fast bloom as post effect (we know , we are crazy…) on our poor ipad 2…
And surprise!? the demo map run between 19 => 30 FPS (depending of the place, random lags sometime, maybe particles ?, but it globaly work) on ipad 2 but there isn’t any optimisation with occlusion culling
This package will be submit to Unity tonight.
Sorry for the crappy quality, taken with iphone 3GS… Yes! poor hedgehog
Can you provide player, or some high res pictures especially from close distance? Note about optimization for mobiles is very disturbing, it usually means low PC quality from close distance. Thanks.
Thanks for web player. Good work. Pitty, that for PC it is too low res. It would be nice to have true PC version with high res textures (atlas can be for LOD) and handly crafted normal+parallax maps to have more plasticity.
Hey Hedgehog team, looks really nice. I took a look into your demo, wroks great. One point, that for me would be five stars, is to make the towers as much accessible as the houses (can go in and out). Good work.
due to the quality of the demo, it’s nice. 2 point :
1
suggest add more wooden buildings with straw roof for building farm.
2
i wonder how to make indoor room’s window have light, because there are day time in the demo, but the house’s interior got no sun light though window.
also, how to made the window outside the house glow at night?

more props for house equip. imagine you are making a mediavel scene, there are trader shop, tavern, smith…tavern need keg and bottles for drink, dice for bet; trader need balance and goods to sell, boxes and bags there…
