Your Probaly thinking Medieval shooter but they didn’t have guns well once I make the game and reveal more of the story you’ll understand
So i am creating a game which is a Medieval shooter. The Aim of the game is to Defend your village from knights, monsters and other evil lurking in the forest however not only do you have to protect them but also bring food,do missions etc.
I want to know what the Unity Community thinks about this. post any ideas.
Sorry no pictures its in VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY early development.
“Sounds like a unique idea, but yes, wrong place to post” (sorry forgot to quote) its ok haters gonna hate lol,and thanks i’ll try to put it into the right forum next time .Its my first thread and i had no clue where to put it!
Shooting in middle-ages does always remind me of this movie.
Army of Darkness (1992)
A man is accidentally transported to 1300 A.D., where he must battle an army of the dead and retrieve the Necronomicon so he can return home.
Depends, you could completely make a small game, and do it in a few months. Or expand, create a vast game and take years, decades or your entire life. Just gauge it, know what is needed, what can be excluded. You’ll get used to it.
Don’t let your age hold you back, it shouldn’t matter.
Thanks for the support im probaly going to try and make a big game and if it goes well and gets popular (unlikely) then i’ll carry it on for as long as possible!
Wow. That modelling’s pretty good for someone who’s 11! (No offence, but, you know, you wouldn’t usually expect 11-year-olds to have any decent modelling skills…) Keep up the good work!
Start with something simpler. The project is complex and it’ll take you forever to finish it. The more time it takes, the faster you lose motivation. Motivation is key!
Simplify your idea to make it possible to complete in a few months, otherwise you’ll just get bored and quit/switch to a different project.
Isn’t he just planning tower defense? That’s one of the easiest types of games. Monsters move from their spawn to your base, kill them before they get into your base. Add turrents, all the basics are now done.
As far as getting food and doing missions, these elements can be explored after his core game mechanics are established. At the very least, it would be a good learning project. He may fail miserably, but if he’s the type to keep trying to make the same kind of game, he’ll get better at it.
