Can anyone tell me what the memory footprint of Unity itself is? My team is trying to figure out where 500mb is being lost right off the bat. We’ve identified a good number of reasons, but still are wondering what we should be expecting when we get rid of all objects in a scene. After deleting all objects, we still appear to have a count of around 16,000. We tried this in the standard island scene that comes with Unity, and even it still had 1,600 objects in it. Can this be explained?
What are you using to determine this?
i.e. where are you getting this Object count. Is it GameObjects, Memory Allocations, Rendering Objects?
Currently I have an iPhone game I’m working on. With Content it takes up about 15 mb in memory currently, so a 500 mb memory footprint seems odd. Also what is the memory footprint for you of either an empty scene or the island demo?
