mesh colliders and models

This may not be the correct forum, but here is my question; When I import either a .dae or .fbx and add a mesh collider they go haywire when animations are added and do not work at all. The selected mesh never aligns to the model properly. Any ideas?

You wouldn't use a mesh collider for an animated mesh. Mesh colliders cannot be animated, and would be extremely slow even if they could.
