mesh data optimization freeze during play - caused by addressable?

happens some times
repro: after swapping back and forth between URP and builtin, and changing shader on a particle system i get this when i press play and canceling doesn’t work
and when i kill unity then restart i get that

probably a lock file somewhere
all with addressable, dunno if related and no time to investigate
